just some random stuff...

....I used the heated towel rail for the first time tonight all winter and it was so good.
I have a brain that never turns off and could write a blog post a day if I had the time (But then you would probably get really sick of me).
I've just stopped Jack's dream feed and he's sleeping all night but he hasn't been as settled in the day since dropping it.
I am really excited about 'polyurethane'ing' our box seat in the kitchen so I can put toys in it and finally do a sort of toy rotation where I just get out a few each day/week.
Since sharing my dolls house last week I have had nearly 12,000 hits on my blog. Ohdeedoh has a lot of readers.
Sitemeter is really cool.
I've just done the whole dinner, bath, bed thing for all three kids on my own for the first time. Jack was the most settled he's been all day which was very kind of him :)
I love Shortland St and Coronation St.
I get really worried thinking about what the world is going to be like for our kids when they are grown up - things like technology/employment/the environment. I don't like watching the news anymore because of it.
I haven't made any busy book pages for a while but I have a million ideas in my head and have got the supplies for about 5 ready to go.
I have lots of ideas for more Organised Home challenges too.
I was so excited to get our copy of the magazine with our home in it. Our house doesn't look like that every day though.
Some days me and the girls are still in our PJ's at morning tea time.
I much prefer late nights to early mornings so I'm thinking I might do a dream feed again tonight.
I really don't like getting into an unmade bed and even have to make it right before bed if I haven't managed to all day.
I get a real sense of satisfaction when I light a good fire at night.
And I really love it when Amelie's teachers tell me what a happy girl she is.
Stella makes me laugh out loud every day - sometimes even when she's being a monkey.
The only bit of crafting I've managed to do lately is stitch Jack's handprint to our family handprint artwork.
I need to work on my fitness now that I am done with having babies but at the moment I would rather do other stuff while Jack sleeps than take him for a walk while he sleeps. Need to make it more of a priority though, especially after starting this book.
We did a Bastille night dinner the other night with candles and a menu and little decorations and Amelie absolutely loved it.
I really want to swap our dining table back to the one we have in the garage so we can have some proper family dinners rather than sitting at the kitchen bench every night.
I love having a blog :)

I've just discovered your blog and I am IN LOVE... I'm not creepy though :p... I adore everything on here and instead of working as I should be I am drooling and getting ideas working through so many awesome posts! Inspired!!! And so good to see I'm not the only "made-up beds are better to sleep in" person! ♥

we love that you have a blog too! I'm with you on the getting into a made bed. I especially like Friday nights after I've changed the sheets. Hubby is not allowed in there before me on Fridays!!!
ps 12,000 hits. W.O.W!

You are a great inspiration Megan - in a 'keeping it real' way. Not an easy balance on a blog. Thanks for sharing. Am going to check out that book for sure!

Funny, my husband HAS to make the bed but I'd rather just jump in and put up with the not quite right sheets all night (which is ridiculous). I have to confess I have added quite a few hits to your blog lately as keep coming back to check out dolls house or green cleaning stuff.

Nice post. Sorry, but really pleased to know your house doesn't always look like that! It did look beautiful, I'm sure it still would even a bit dishevelled.
ps. I've colour coded my bookcase, loving it!
pps. Kind of miss those dream feeds, so nice to get another peek at their dear wee face :)

Keep up the excellent blogging Megan... I hear you on the bed-making thing. My other half doesn't get it though. He kicks the sheets out the minute he's in.

I'm one of those new readers who came over from Ohdeedoh! And I was especially excited to find another kiwi blog that combined family stuff and crafting in just the right amount :)

Hope you and your family are keeping warm on this wintry sunday! (We're having hail in Wellington...)
