my creative space

I have just joined in on the 'creative space' sharing over at kootoyoo.com, a gorgeous site from a clever crafty lady, Kirsty, in Melbourne.  My creative space is a little nook/cupboard close to our front door. It's great in that I don't need to use up a bedroom for an office/crafty space but it is quite little so my creative space often spills over onto the kitchen bench or the lounge floor! I love finding containers for all my crafty stuff and one of my best ever pressies was a label maker..yes, 'monica from friends' tendencies!
My creative project today is to make a start on some felt toys from the cute crafty book

There are so many adorable little creatures in the book- I am going to start with the lion first and then the babushka doll on the book cover. Will post some pics when finished!

  1. your nook looks fab! I'm very jealous... Nothing wrong with having Monica-ish tendencies either - mine left the day Elijah was born!

  9. Great space. You could rent yourself out as craft room organiser. I'd definately hire you!!
I smiled when I saw your sewing machine. I have the same one. It was my Nanna's and I wouldn't swap it for the world.

  10. Ha thanks wouldn't that be fun! My sewing machine was my nana's too-I found the original receipt in the case which says she bought it in 1982 so it would have been pretty flash then! It's a good one isn't it :)

  11. Great space. So neat and tidy...very envious!! I did something similar when I was at college (ahem...quite a while ago....) with my wardrobe. I made a desk and some shelves, it was so cool and actually made me want to do some work!!

  12. OMG how awesome is your craft space!!! That's amazing and so neat and tidy. I too love my label maker, I just haven't used it in awhile. Guess I should get it out and get to sorting out my mess. I'll keep looking at your amazing space to keep motivated!

I have often longed for that book while shopping. I've always had a few others things before it on the want list, but perhaps it's time to re-evaluate. It's so sweet. I can't wait to see how you go with everything!

Thanks for sharing your creative space!

  18. I came over to your blog from Prudent Baby (I think) and I was looking at your tags and saw Mt. Maunganui. I've climbed it and been to Tauranga!! It's been a long time. It was a college Chorus trip and I was only there a few days but I loved it. Looking forward to exploring your blog more! Kelly
