my creative space: apples

 a crochet apple
a crocheted apple
(not sure if that's grammatically correct!)
Some times it's good to make something that's a bit frivolous but makes you smile...I made this apple cosy just for the fun of imagining my 4 year old's face when she opens her lunch box :)
I tried a tutorial first but my cosy was looking more like a sombrero....
so I just started again and played around with my baby ball pattern instead that I modified from Kate's pattern here.
Wish I could see her face (and the teachers' who will probably think I'm a bit crazy) when she opens her lunchbox next week...

  5. Such a cute idea! You never know it could be kind of practical too if it saves the apple from bruising a little.

  6. I love apple cozy's. I made one for each child to take home after my daughter's birthday party. It was so nice seeing them all leave the party munching away on apples, I doubt if I gave them an apple without the cozy they would have been so happy to munch away. I love the button you chose.

  10. Very cute! I love the button closure and the embroidered 'A' - I guess there'll be no confusion as to who the apple belongs to at least!!
