ReplyDeletei think my fav home is rustic country - but to be honest if it was reality it might not be so rustic!! :) lovely giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteMy dream house would be a mix of beach-house and Contemparary, to allow for all the things we love in technology like computers and 3d Tvs and other modern bits and bobs...menawhile still feeling like a cosy home with pretty textiles and floor rugs and my little girls "things". http://trendzona.com/interior-and-furniture/living-room/11/living-room-in-the-colours-of-nature.html see cosy living room decor pic
ReplyDeleteI thought your house was gorgeous! Wish I could have picked it up and bought it to Auckland. We live Ina 1920's house that we love, but there's always so much to work on.... So I guess my ideal would be a modern but 1960's inspired home :-)
ReplyDeleteHow cooool! The third photo from the bottom of this post is my favourite. I'm not sure what that's called exactly... a mix of country/vintage/cottage/bach/contemporary....
ReplyDelete<3
ultimately I'd like to design my own home but I adore character and often dislike new/modern homes so I guess I'd have my work cut out for me. Definitely quirky and homemade.... I love the house I live in though. I follow you on pinterest too :o)
ReplyDeleteMy dream house would be made of brick, tucked in amongst acres of secret gardens. I'm working at making my current house my dream house in the mean time! I like your Facebook page, and follow you on pinterest, AMAZING giveaway!

ReplyDeleteLovely giveaways, I am into Scandinavia chic, white walls with bursts of colour - and minimalist - totally not our current style but working on it!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I change my mind all the time. I love big barns remodeled. I love cute wee cottages.
ReplyDeleteBut I think probably a modern style home with a retro 70's feel to the interior.
If you ask me tomorrow I will probably give you a different answer.
PS I follow you on facebook already.

ReplyDeleteWell I think my perfect house would be a mix of scandi chic and rustic country... funnily enough, last night I was looking at the famous Frank Lloyd Wright House "Falling Water". I think that would be my perfect house. Visiting it is on the bucket list.

ReplyDeleteMy dream home would be overlooking a beautiful secluded bay, the middle will be a big open area where the living and cooking, laughing and playing is, a place where everyone comes together, and the bedrooms will be on the north and south ends for privacy. Of course there will be a huge garden like Annabel Langbeins Wanaka garden!

ReplyDeleteRight now my dream house would be a home no one could take away from us. But if I close my eyes, I see myself and my family in a big old white farmhouse with a huge wrap around porch and a big red barn attached sitting smack in the middle of a huge field with a few big trees around(for hanging a swing or two).

ReplyDeleteMy dream home would be a wood shingled, Hamptons/Cape Cod style cottage by the sea. Nothing too big or too fancy, just something with loads of character that my family and I could enjoy:)
I also follow you on Pinterest:)
ReplyDeleteI would love a renovated villa with high stud ceilings and a view of the sea. Also love the style of this home in California with huge windows and beautiful furnishings: http://www.younghouselove.com/2013/04/house-crashing-quaint-vine-covered/
ReplyDeleteIts a cross between vintage cottage, character home and beach house for me - a style all of my own :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on selling your house! My dream house is a little white cottage with a thatched roof. Just like Milly Molly Mandy. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's tricky to definitively say which is my favourite - but Scandi-chic consistently stands out as a style that draws my oohs and ahhs! I love the white canvas with the pops of colour - so fresh and attractive. (I also have been eyeing up the wooden stacking houses since they arrived on the Tea Pea site, so my heart did a wee skip when I saw them in the house giveaway...so cute!)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I just spotted this post too! What a stunning giveaway - I would most definitely like to pop my name into the draw.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite house style (this week anyway) is cosy cottage. Last week it was contemporary mansion with a huge swimming pool and the week before that it would have been something different again. It sure makes decorating difficult when my style is temporarily fickle!!

My dream house has shingle. And a three level turret on the side housing - a kitchen table on the ground floor, my bed (which is a cast iron one) in the middle, and a reading/craft room in the top. I thought this house existed only in my head, and then I found this

It's even yellow!!
My dream home would be in the forest with horse stables and i have always wanted a spiral staircase ever since i was a kid, it would be a bit modern and also antique looking.

ReplyDeleteHope I get to squeeze in an entry here. Lovely to met you on the weekend. My trouble is I have several favourite house styles - rather than one. I'm going to have to have a traditional 1910 villa with the wrap around veranda, molding/ceiling roses and stained glass, a clean modernist eco bach with all the self sufficient features - grass roof and solar panels, etc; and an exposed brick 'New York loft" style crash pad (I won't be going for that in Chch for obvious reasons). Thanks for the opportunity
