I absolutely love anything to do with the alphabet- typographical artworks, abc books, alphabet posters, abc games and puzzles…I don't know if it's the teacher in me or just the simplicity of the alphabet but I have built up a bit of a collection of games, books and puzzles plus I love making my own ABC activities as well. And I think children having some knowledge of letters and sounds before they start school is really beneficial- not in a flash card/rote learning type way, just building on their natural curiosity and interest in letters and the ABC's by reading, playing games and puzzles, and talking about letters and sounds in daily life. So I thought with Stella starting school this week I would finally sort out and share my ABC giveaway that I have been planning for ages now. And Jasmine from Bubbalooz kindly donated one of her lovely mini suitcases for the giveaway which was perfect to keep all of the items in. I used a piece of scrapbooking card to decorate the underside of the lid of the suitcase and have filled it with a few things for one of you to win….
In the suitcase I've put...
*'My First Book of Letters' board book by Alain Gree - I love the vintage style illustrations in this book
* ABC ice cube or chocolate molds
* Aluminium Alphabet water bottle
*A sheet of my favourite ABC little house stickers
*A roll of ABC wash tape
* A lollipop pen to practice all those abc's!
So if you would like to win this all you need to do is leave a comment below telling me how old your children are (you don't need to write their names if you would prefer not to) and what they are interested in eg: reading, writing, numbers and counting, lego, pirates, dinosaurs, fairies, art, sport, space, animals…. If you don't have children you could tell me what you are interested in, don't worry about your age though ;)
Giveaway will be open until next Tuesday the 1st April.
International entries welcome.
For extra entries you can like my Facebook page - just leave a separate comment telling me you have (or already do.)

Ohhh great giveaway! My son started school this year, and despite letters and words not coming naturally to him he's really get into it now! He's very creative and loves building and drawing anything! His sister isy is totally into abcs etc already at age 3 and loves girly stuff but is a bit of a Tom boy too. Pipi 10 months is just into putting everything in her mouth :)

What an awesome giveaway, Megan. Happy Birthday to Stella! My little ones are almost 3 years old and 6 months. Zaedyn has so many interests, but he has been really into his letters and numbers at the moment so I know how much he would use something like this. He loves books and has been pointing out any letters that he recognises :)

This is gorgeous! Our oldest daughter is 4 years old and we are just about to enrol her at school to start the following year so this would be well timed. She loves anything to do with arts and crafts (especially cellotape!), reading books, lego and insects. Thanks for the lovely giveaway x
I have also liked and commented on your Facebook post, like your Facebook page and follow you on Pinterest. Phew! :)
I would like to enter this for a special little lady in NZ that we miss who was like a little sister to my boys. She is 3 and especially fond of pandas.
Hi Megan - lovely prize - thanks for the chance to win :-)
My little boy is 3 1/2 - he loves writing his name at the moment and drawing pictures of cranes and trains! He's a Thomas fan and has just started getting into lego too :-)
Also I'm a fan on Facebook :-)

Awesome giveaway! I've commented on your Facebook post but will do it here too.... I have a 5yr old daughter (just started school yesterday) who loves writing and Lego friends, and an almost 2yr old son who loves counting and dinosaurs.... And I have a baby but I'm not sure what she's into yet :-p
my son is turning three in a fortnight and he goes through phases: for a few weeks it's all about dinosaurs and roaring, and then he one day just moves on and for the next fortnight it's, say, trucks, and then the next it is wooden puzzles to fit shapes into. and then it might be dinosaurs again! he loves counting though - not, like, in actual numbers, but as he goes up steps or down steps or looks at bubbles on a plastic ball, he "counts" them in his babbly toddler-language, "eee. oooh. thea. mooh."
Such a lovely giveaway! Mine are 4 and 2, but I would be a little tempted to stash this away to reward one of my students who is struggling with the alphabet at the moment... xx
My children are grown p but a gorgeous little girl called Isabella would love this - her family are farmers so she loves animals and tractors!!
I liked your FB page
I have a 5 year old boy who started school in September who loves Lego, transformers and battleships and an almost 2 year old girl who loves dolls and duplo. It's a lovely giveaway what a beautiful prize and educational too!
What a lovely bundle!
I have two children, the oldest an 8 year old girl who loves science in general, but particularly, volcanos, dinossaurs, sharks, and outerspace.
My youngest is a three year old boy who thinks he can read... he is into all things letters right now, stares at books "reading", traces letters with his finger whenever he gets a chance.
My kiddos are three and five, and my oldest is way into Legos. My little girl is starting to learn her abc's, and loves to call out the letters she sees around town, in books, etc.
I like you on facebook, too!
And, Pinterest, too! I am in the USA; can I still win this?
I'm a facebook fan!
...and a pinterest follower of yours
Our three little people are 3 years old (twins) and almost 8 months old. Our youngest is into everything that can go into his mouth, watching his sisters and very happy to have anyone's attention :) Our girls love planning parties, looking after their babies, reading books, going on trips (imaginary!), making up stories...so many things!
This is a great giveaway from a great blog! Cass is 2 and a bit years old. She is really into putting her animal toys into bed and "reading" books to them :) She also likes singing and woodworking. We love that they've re-printed Alain Grée's work, such gorgeous illustrations!

Lovely giveaway Megan! My 3 year old boy loves diggers, trucks, trains, puzzles and books. My 5 year old girl loves writing, drawing, crafting and reading.

My living girls are 3 and 3/4, and almost 2. My girl up with the stars would be 5 if she hadn't died. My 3 year old is really into the alphabet and learning how to write letters, she can now write her name - all as a result of her own interest, she asks me how to write a letter and I show her. Both girls are really into diggers and other heavy machinery.

Your giveaways are always some of my favourites! We have 3 little people - Anya, 6, is hugely into reading and maths, colouring in, drawing and has an imagination that astounds. Heidi, 4.5 who is a structured wee thing. She loves music, order, makes up and strums her own tunes and is a very practical kid who loves doing things by the book - like building lego :) Liezel, almost 3, is into pretend play in a big way with her little animals and dolls and playdough, that's when she doesn't try to rule the roost!
And I follow you on Pinterest - thanks for an awesome giveaway Megan!

Skye, just 7, loves butterflies at the moment. I'm loving reading an old school Alice in Wonderland book to her.

Gorgeous giveaway, I'd like to enter for my youngest daughter Ruby (7). She's all about making her own mini books at the moment and long winded but heart melting love notes to her Dad and I....usually after a huge trantrum of some sort! ha
