I've always wanted to be able to light up the dolls house so I was pleased to see that the Lundby transformer came back in stock the other day so I could connect up the lights I had bought ages ago. I had to buy two 'electric mix sets' as well to make a circuit big enough to connect all four lights and the oven and sink unit. I got my hubby to drill some holes in the back of the dolls house to put the wires through and then connected it all up and plugged it in- a lot easier than I thought it was going to be!
Like moths to a flame
Had to add an All Black's flag too of course!
And if you would like to read "The Dolls House" and three other Katherine Mansfield stories for yourself I have a copy of this book to giveaway- just leave a comment here or on my facebook page :)

So sweet! I have a half-finished dollshouse in my attic that I started making 15 years ago - you are inspiring me to get it out and finish it for my girls. Love the flag.
I LOOVE Katherine Mansfield! - And your dollshouse of course. It looks great with the light and flag!

They did really well today (All Blacks) we had the TV on this morning (your evening) I am so inspired by your dolls house. Started to collect furniture but still not found the right 'house' to do up!
Just. Lovely.
And we thought it was perfect before! Wow just look at that kitchen. My kitchen could do with some of that lighting. What a lot of fun that house is for you. Nice to see it looking good still. Have the girls been able to play with it?!!
LOVE IT! I always wanted my doll house to have lights, your kids must be over the moon, how exciting. Would love the book, count me in for comp. Sarah :)
I continue to be amazed by your extraordinary talents!
oh I am speechless!
fantastic! Did you see the NZ Sunday Theatre (or whatever it's called :-)) a couple of weeks ago? I haven't read any Katherine Mansfield since school but I'm inspired again.
My daughter had a Lundby dollshouse years ago, but it was never anything like this. Congratulations on achieving the designer look on such a small scale.
Megan, just when I thought your doll house couldn't get any better! Congratulations too on the page in the Dominion liftout this weekend :) That story is my favourite Katherine Mansfield piece, it's lovely but so sad. Social commentary ahead of its time!
The doll's house is just beautiful. Bet you like to play with it when the kids are tucked up in bed? I know I would. Belinda
My sister and I have a dolls house ready to be revamped for her little girl mabel to enjoy - gonna bookmark this post right here to come back to. Beautiful!

We always say that line in our family. I would love to go in the draw for this. Loved the article in the weekend magazine too - I felt quite famous by association :o). Really enjoyed looking through all those fashion sites as well.
It's such a lovely shot story, isn't it!? Would love to own it!
The lights look so sweet!
Your dolls house is truly incredible! I can't believe it has lights now - it's amazing. It was so lovely to see the article about your fab creation in the weekend magazine of the Dominion Post on Saturday. Just stunning. Hope you're having a lovely week. Leah
